For me, vintage and antiques are an education and inspiration for creating and making art. They have a special place in my life. It brings me to times and places I would not have known by experience, otherwise, and I get to share a little bit of others’ original vision of art and craft.
When I look at art and things I somewhat split them into two categories, classic and baroque, with classic sticking closer to the profile/function with its creativity working on the structural, whereas baroque focuses on flourish and embellishment with less regard to form and structure. Both are beautiful as are science and alchemy, reason and myth.
