Brandie
Grogan is a mixed media artist from San Francisco. She uses wood, wax,
resin, and found materials as a host for her printed images of personal
photographs, collages and graphite drawings. The square and the formal
division of the surface into a grid system are loosely based on the
traditional format of a quilt. Structurally the grid provides stability
to the otherwise chaotic forms that require organization. Brandie
earned a B.F.A. from the Ohio State University and a M.F.A. from the
Academy of Art University.
